In order to leverage the high potential of Nestlé Purina PetCare in Europe and achieve our ambitious Market Business Strategy objectives, we are currently looking for a PACKAGING TECHNOLOGY ENGINEER who will provide the technical and professional expertise in the area of packaging equipment and packing organization required to meet Nestlé Purina PetCare Europe's business objectives in terms of technology, capacity, efficiency and productivity and to ensure the optimal use of the company#s fixed assets.

Provide assistance to factory for the preparation of Masterplans
Support the factory-based Project Managers with the implementation of capital engineering projects on time
Manage directly certain capital projects, primarily where factory resources are inadequate
Compare offers, make recommendations and participate in negotiations for the purchasing of equipment & technical services and the establishment of key supplier agreements
Stay abreast of technological trends and procedures through involvement with the PTC, R&D and TAG, outside organizations, suppliers & other professional contacts, periodicals, seminars, etc
Contribute to the implementation of new technologies & improvements in packaging to reduce manufacturing costs and ensure the upgrade (safety, quality, GMP) of site facilities
Seek opportunities to reuse idle equipment to reduce capital expenditure and shorten lead times
Ensure the application of human safety, food safety, hygienic engineering and environmental reviews and correct ways of working (contractor management, electricity, pressure vessels etc.)
Assist in defining the appropriate levels of engineering and technology competency for factory engineering & production personnel, train and coach individuals in order to attain those levels

Undergraduate degree in Engineering
Relevant engineering experience: projects, maintenance, packaging machinery and material, gained in a production environment within the process industry
Knowledge of GMPs & hygienic engineering
Good understanding of industrial services, electricity, control & automation
Minimum of 3 years responsible engineering experience, of which at least 2 years within the Packaging technology
English language essential. Spanish or Italian and any other European language is a plus
