The main purposes of this role are as follows :
- Provide support to production centers on all packaging related issues
- Define and implement pack specification structure
- Optimize and look for synergies in packaging materials
- Develop innovative packaging
An initial six-month contract will be offered.
The main accountabilities of this position are as follows:
- Define the best packaging suppliers working closely with purchasing/R&D/marketing
- Define standard packaging testing methods for new packaging
- Propose packaging solutions and conduct the development until launch, establishing and monitoring a timetable for all projects and with all different partners.
- Provide technical support to plants in order to solve packaging problems and achieve maximum cost-efficiency.
- Take advantage of the complaints reporting system in order to analyze the nature of the complaints and propose corrective actions.
- Collect information and perform feasibility studies to propose innovative pack solutions.

The ideal candidate will be meticulous and organized and will possess:
- University Degree in a related scientific field: Packaging, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering
- 3-5 years experience in Packaging development
- Proven international experience in setting up pack specification and leading pack projects
- Ability to build strong working relationships and to solve problems in a pragmatic way
- Excellent communication skills across all levels and functions of the organization
- Fluency in English and German an advantage.
