Our client are a successful fast moving Food manufacturer and they are currently seeking an experienced Packaging Buyer to join their established team.
|
|
Reporting to the Senior Buyer, you would have full responsibility for procuring all company packaging ( packaging materials, film, board, card and incidentals) at optimum price to specification ensuring continuity of production through 100% availability of materials.
This role will involve negotiating and agreeing supply contracts with suppliers, monitoring their performance, placing orders, maintaining the database with approved prices for all goods, stock holding, pro-actively pursue buying initiatives and/or new suppliers and to review and recommend improvements to existing systems.

The successful candidate will preferably be able to demonstrate previous packaging buying experience ideally within a fast moving high volume manufacturer.
Good negotiation, organisation and communication skills are essential.
CIP’s qualification or equivalent would be beneficial but is not essential if you have relevant experience.
Skills:
Packaging buying experience.
CIP’s (part or fully qualified) would be beneficial.
