Job description

• As part of the European Container Industries team you will be visiting plants of the leading Corrugated and Solid Board Industry. You will achieve profitable growth by consolidating and developing the Key Customer Group (75% in The Netherlands and 25% in Belgium).
• Supported by a team of experts you will act as the customer’s point of contact for any products and/or services offered by Signode before and after sales.
• Your other activities will involve audits and field studies (on productivity & packaging) as well as hand tools and/or machines demonstrations, reference visits and updating of service contracts. You are responsible for maintaining, improving and creating the customer files and new development projects, including analysis, economical justifications and presentations to customers...
• You will report to the European General Manager of the Container Industries Group and you will coordinate with other European Sales Units and with the Dutch/Belgian Parts and Service Team.


Job criteria

• For this challenging position we are looking for a professional with a technical background and a successful commercial B-to-B experience, e.g. in selling capital equipment. Packaging Industry experience and knowledge of the corrugated and solid board industry are assets but not a real requirement.
• Above all you are a competitive and self-motivated person with very good communication skills. You are flexible, open-minded and mobile and you are able to deal with all levels at customer accounts.
• You have project management skills and a good technical ability and understanding.
• You have a good financial ability to prepare economical justifications and contribution reports to support sales development into Key Account Groups.
• Commercially you are clever, persuasive and full of initiative. You easily understand customers’ needs.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English and an experienced MS Office user.
